In the National Health Service (NHS) in England, nurses play a crucial role in the delivery of healthcare services. Their responsibilities may vary depending on their area of specialization, but some common duties of nurses in the NHS including providing direct patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, educating patients and families, advocating for patients, and providing emotional support.
- Must have Nursing degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse
- IELTS Academic or OET certificate with minimum scores in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements
- Should have passed CBT exam or booked prior to interview date

Midwives play a vital role in providing care and support to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Some of the key responsibilities include providing antenatal care to women during pregnancy, labour and delivery, and continuing support postnatal care. They also provide advocate and educate women and their families, ensuring that their wishes and needs are respected and supported.
- Must have Midwifery degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered midwife
- IELTS Academic or OET certificate with minimum scores in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements
- Should have passed CBT exam or booked prior to interview date

Doctors play a crucial role in delivering healthcare services. Their responsibilities may vary depending on their area of specialization, but usually include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, performing medical procedures, providing preventive care and anaging chronic conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Must have doctorate degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a doctor
- Minimum of 24 months experience working with at a hospital or clinic
- Hold a valid IELTS Academic certificate in preparation to sit the PLAB exam
- Should have passed PLAB exam or booked prior to interview date

Clinical psychologists in England play a vital role in the provision of mental health services, using their expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to help patients with mental health conditions improve their quality of life.
- Must have 3-year MSc in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in a clinical practice
- hold a valid IELTS or TOEFL certificate in line with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) requirements

Learning disability nurses work to provide specialist healthcare and support to people with a learning disability, as well as their families and staff teams, to help them live a fulfilling life.
- Must hold an Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field relevant to the position
- Minimum of 12 months relevant work experience with references
- hold a valid IELTS or TOEFL certificate in line with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) requirements

You could qualify as a Mental Health Nurse
- Work on a psych or mental health unit / ward / department (even if some years back),
- Care of mental health patients in community as part of community case load,
- Forensic (prison) Nursing,
- Care of older adults with dementia / Alzheimer’s,
- Care of mental health patients on medical ward / Emergency Department or during transfers to referral hospital,
- Care of patients with moderate to severe Learning Disability e.g., in conjunction with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other disorder (This could be personal, rather than professional experience),
- Care of children with Learning Disability or Mental Health condition on Paediatric ward.
