  • Must have Nursing degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Mental Health. Newly qualified candidates for inpatient settings may be considered
  • Should have passed CBT exam or booked prior to interview date
  • Driving license: desirable, not essential
  • Must have Nursing degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability
  • Should have passed CBT exam or booked prior to interview date
  • Driving license: desirable, not essential

Essential English language requirements, fall into one of the three following categories of English language level:

    1.  Have an English language certificate at the level required by the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements)
    2. English exam already booked
    3. Willing to book your English exam within 6 weeks of interviews. Free English training will be provided in this case. Please ensure you show proof of your English language level when sending your application.

Candidates who have already passed their English Language exam will be prioritised for interviews/ shortlisting.

We strongly recommend that you put every effort into booking your English Language exam in advance. Putting together a study plan to demonstrate your commitment and motivation to meeting this requirement is also recommended. If you are unable to book the English Language exam before the interviews, it is advised that you commit to booking this within 6 weeks of your interview.

In addition, you must have a minimum level of B2 (upper intermediate – CEFR) to be accepted in the first place. Once you have gotten your results, we recommend that you send a screenshot with your application. Your application should include at least:

  • A copy of your CV, as detailed as possible.
  • A copy of your passport
  • Proof of your level of English Language. Select the option that applies to your current situation:
  • A screenshot of your English level with the British Council if you still have not passed your IELTS/OET exam at the level required by the NMC. You can check your level of English on the following link for free: https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/english-levels/online-english-level-test (Please remember that all candidates who do not have an IELTS or OET exam passed or booked will have to book and exam within 6 weeks of interview)
  • A copy of your IELTS or OET certificate.

If you are not sure of your current level, you can use British Council EnglishScore – The Global Mobile English Test & Certificate. If you have done the Malaysian University English Test you would need to have a score of 5.0 to meet this level.

Free English Language Training provided for candidates willing to book their English exam within 6 weeks of interviews.

Jacqueline Mahugu and Angelique West, NEU Professionals English Language Support Especialists will host this English Language Training to prepare candidates for their English exams. Candidates will benefit from their dynamic teaching style that will help them improve their English skills and how to take their English exams.
