We are now accepting applications from experienced Medicine nurses to join Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust on a full-time permanent contract.

The Countess of Chester Hospital has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality patient care and is nationally accredited at the highest levels in many areas, especially those relating to clinical outcomes and patient safety. The Trust employs almost 4,000 staff and provides a range of medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year, across Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and North Wales. The Trust consists of a large district General Hospital with 600 beds, and an Intermediate Care Service with 64 beds at Ellesmere Port Hospital – a set up which supports the Trust’s vision to provide ‘Integrated Care at its Best’

Countess of Chester Hospital offer:

Candidates will be provided with a comprehensive 6 week OSCE training course and sit the exam on week 7. Following the successful completion of the NMC registration the candidates will then attend the standard NHS induction and will be further supported and mentored within their ward or area of specialty.

Requirements:

  • Nursing degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse (minimum 3 years in length, containing minimum of 500 hours of clinical practice).
  • Proof of English language proficiency in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements.*
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in acute hospital setting as a Registered Nurse (academic internships not considered).
