We are very excited to announce that we are now accepting applications from experienced Medical/Surgical nurses to join the newly formed University Hospitals Dorset NHS Trust.
Established in October 2020, following the merger of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, UHD is currently undergoing a multi-million pound transformation and restructuring programme, which will see many of its buildings being turned into state-of-the-art facilities.
The Trust serves around 550,000 people living in Bournemouth, Christchurch, East Dorset and part of the New Forest – a number which rises during the summer months, when this incredibly beautiful part of England fills up with holidaymakers. UHD also provides specialist services in Poole, the Purbecks and South Wiltshire.

- Enhancements for “unsocial” working hours, nights and Saturdays +30%, Sundays and Public (Bank) Holidays +60%.
- Mixed shift pattern days, nights and weekends, 37.5h per week, 3 x 12.5h shifts.

NMC Qualification evaluation fee (£140) – to be reimbursed on arrival.

All successful candidates will be provided with a comprehensive OSCE training, NHS induction programme and a mentor.
- Nursing degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse (minimum 3 years in length, containing minimum of 500 hours of clinical practice).
- Proof of English language proficiency in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements. Ideally this certificate should have a validity of at least 1 year. *
- Proof of successfully passing the NMC Part 1 Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Minimum 1 year of working experience as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (preferably in a large Emergency Department).
