If you want live and work in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, we have some exciting news! We are now accepting applications from Midwives to join the team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, as part of the CapitalMidwife workforce in London.

The CapitalMidwife Programme has been developed in response to the growing need to apply ‘once for London’ solutions to the challenges faced by over 6,000 midwives who make up the London midwifery workforce. These challenges include staff shortages, increased workloads, retention of staff and policy changes. As part of their work, they are developing a range of products to enable London midwives to develop and grow throughout their career. By developing a framework to be used across London, they can ensure that their midwives are supported wherever they live and work.

Being part of the CapitalMidwife team means that you would benefit from salary supplements or High Cost Area Supplements (HCAS) which are paid to NHS midwives working in inner and outer London and the fringe zones. For more information about HCAS click here.
