We are aware there have been some concerns about the proposed immigration changes announced by the UK government. Although we are still awaiting a formal statement from government departments, we would like to offer you some reassurance and our support if you have any questions. We have been advised that the changes being made are unlikely to affect Registered Nurses, Registered Midwives or Registered Healthcare Professionals (such as Occupational therapists, Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacists) coming to work in the NHS, the proposed changes affect the care sector (e.g., care homes, nursing homes). According to our sources, there have been no changes to the policy on dependants for NHS staff. If you are being recruited to an NHS role there should be no changes to your offer.
We would like to reassure you that we are continuing the recruitment of international nurses into 2024 (and beyond!) in partnership with our prestigious NHS Trusts. The NHS has noted the importance of increasing ethical international recruitment and expanding into new countries. We are also committed to working with our NHS trusts to ensure you receive the best possible care and support during the recruitment process and after you arrive in the UK!
