Ongoing Overseas Nurse Recruitment campaign from 2021 – ongoing

Yorkshire and the Humber Collaborative is a collaboration of NHS Trusts mostly located across North Central and North East regions of England. The main Trusts taking part in this collaboration are:

These Trusts are mainly focusing on the recruitment of Registered Nurses with experience in psychiatric care who are willing to positively contribute to the mental health well-being of their community. They continually invest in staff training and development to enable their teams to provide specialist treatment programmes and interventions for all patients, and to further enhance staff’s expertise, knowledge and professional development.

The NHS is currently looking to recruit a large number of Mental Health nurses to join its ranks, with this crucial service being in high demand throughout the United Kingdom. Covid-19 has had a profound effect on people’s mental health and this issue will be present for many years to come. So much so that the British government recently published a Covid-19 mental health and wellbeing recovery action plan, to ensure that the country offers enough support and has the necessary capacity to resolve this unfortunate situation.

Location

The Yorkshire and the Humber area is one of the nine official regions in the U.K. and home to exciting cities such as Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Hull and York.

Leeds is the largest city in West Yorkshire, one of the trendiest and most vibrant cities in the North of England. With a calendar packed full of events and festivals, Leeds is bursting with creativity and innovation. Its transport connections are outstanding, being only 2h away on train from the centre of London and about 3h away from Edingburgh, so it is the perfect spot to live if you are planning some getaways around the U.K. Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is located 20min drive away from the city centre.

Home to Humber Teaching NHS Trust is Hull, a seaside city full of life and things to do. Hull has one of the most important ports in Great Britain, offering direct ferry trips to mainland Europe.

Right on the outskirts of Bradford, you can find Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. If you chose this Trust as your preferred location, Bradford has plenty of cultural attractions to visit and great connections to other big cities such as Leeds or Manchester.

View of York Minster, York, Noth Yorkshire, U.K.

Another beautiful location, not too far from any of the Yorkshire and the Humber Trusts named above, it’s the city of York. Only 20min on the train from Leeds city centre, York is a medieval town full of picturesque streets and historic buildings such as the breath-taking York Minster.

York is internationally renowned for its beauty and heritage. Its city centre is a bustling and vibrant hub for a range of activities; whether you’re interested in relaxing in one of its huge number of bars, pubs and cafes, visiting one of its numerous museums or tourist attractions or enjoying a little retail therapy in its many and varied shops. Ideally placed on the East Coast Main Line for rail journeys to London (2 hours), Manchester International Airport (2 hours), Scotland, or cross-country, York also has excellent road links which ensure easy access to the wonderful North Yorkshire countryside.
