NEU Professionals Candidates

Requirements

  • Proof of English language proficiency in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years midwifery experience in a hospital setting
  • Must meet NMBA registration requirements
  • Meet English Language requirements to register with Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Experience in a country similar to Australia
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience providing patient-centred care

English Language Requirements

You will need to meet English Language requirements to register with Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia, either 5 consecutive years of education taught in English or an English language certificate with scores accepted by NMBA

Minmum score of 7 in all subtests in one sitting or 2 sitting within 6 months (no score below 6.5 in any section in either test).

Minimum score of B in all subtests in one sitting or 2 sittings within 6 months (no score below C in any section in either test).

Minimum score of 65 in all subtests in one sitting or 2 sittings within 6 months (no score below 58 in any section in either test)

Minimum scores of: 24 for Listening, 24 for Reading, 27 for Writing and 23 for Speaking, in one sitting or 2 sittings within 6 months (no score in any of the sections is below; 20 for Listening, 19 for Reading, 24 for Writing and 20 for Speaking)
