About East of England Collaborative

East of England is one of seven regional teams that support the commissioning of high quality services and directly commission primary care and specialised services at a local level across England. They also provide professional leadership for finance, nursing, medical, specialised commissioning, patients and information, human resources and organisational development, and assurance and delivery.

East of England NHS Collaborative includes over 20 hospital Trusts spread out through the counties of Bedforshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk

  • 13 Acute Hospital Trusts – (which include 18 maternity units)
  • 3 Community Providers
  • 4 Mental Health Units

Equality, diversity and inclusion

As the East of England Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) regulator, their role is to support NHS organisations within the region to meet their legal public sector duties under the Equality Act 2010 and deliver key priorities set out in the NHS People Plan.
