Register with the GDC
Anybody who wants to work in the United Kingdom as a Dentist or Dental Care Professional (DCP) must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). NEU Professionals will support you with your registration process so you do not need to be registered before sending us your application. However, it’s recommended that you learn a little about the General Dental Council and their requirements beforehand (it will certainly give you brownie points! 😉)
The register
We keep an up-to-date register of all dental professionals. Those who join their register need to meet our standards for registration. Anybody who wants to work in the UK as a dentist or DCP must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
What is the GDC?
The General Dental Council (GDC) is the regulatory body for dental professionals in the United Kingdom. It maintains a current register of all qualified dental professionals, including dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, dental nurses, dental technicians, and clinical dental technicians. The GDC’s primary mission is to uphold and ensure standards in UK dentistry to protect the public from unqualified dental practitioners.
