Collaboration with Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the provision of fully NMC registered (OSCE passed) overseas nurses

Following a number of exceptionally successful joint international recruitment projects and a seal of approval from NHS Procurement in Partnership, Mid Cheshire Hospitals and NEU are now working in collaboration to deliver an all-encompassing service to other NHS Trusts in the UK.

The aim is to provide the Trusts with fully NMC registered Band 5 overseas nurses who would have already successfully passed OSCE and completed their NMC registration prior to joining their new employer. Traditional recruitment process will follow whereby NEU will advertise the Trust’s vacancies, shortlist suitable candidates to be interviewed by the Trust’s team, support candidates with IELTS/OET training (if applicable), NMC process, CBT training, collect and verify pre-employment checks, assist with Visa application, book candidate travel and OSCE exam and offer further pastoral care upon entering the UK.

On arrival into the country candidates will be transferred to MCHFT where they will undergo a structured 4-week OSCE training and induction to enable them to sit and pass OSCE on week 5. Successful candidates will then join their ultimate Trust the following week. If unsuccessful, candidates will return to MCHFT for further training and resit OSCE within 7 days.

MCHFT has access to excellent quality new-build accommodation comprising of 800 rooms and offering free high speed WiFi, CCTV, 24h security, 24/7 reception desk, laundry, pool room, access to town and all local amenities.

The above service will suit Trusts with limited previous experience or workforce capacity to support high volume overseas recruitment. It may also be a complementary solution to existing campaigns to achieve 0 FTE vacancies in a quicker succession.
