NMC English language requirements: exemptions and other evidence.
Depending on your situation, you may not be required to present an English language certificate when registering with the NMC. Prior sending your application, make sure you check that you are exempt of this requirement or have other evidence to present. You may be exempt of showing proof of passing an English language test if:
- Your are a pre-registration nurse, midwife or nursing associate qualification which was taught and examined in English.
- Recent practice of at least one year in a majority English speaking country.
