Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RPH) is the UK’s leading heart and lung hospital, treating more than 100,000 patients each year.

In 2019, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) announced it has rated Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as ‘outstanding’ overall, and across all five of the CQC domains; safe, caring, effective, responsive, and well-led.

This is the first time ever that an NHS hospital trust has achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating across the five key questions that the CQC asks when it inspects hospitals. It is also the first NHS acute Trust to have gained an ‘outstanding’ rating in the ‘Safe’ category.

Royal Papworth Hospital is a member of Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP), a partnership between one of the world’s leading universities and three NHS Foundation Trusts. CUHP delivers world-class excellence in healthcare, research, clinical education and improves the health of people across Cambridgeshire and the wider regions.

In 2017, the hospital was granted Royal status by Her Majesty the Queen in recognition of its commitment to excellence in cardiothoracic care.

Royal Papworth moved to a brand new, state-of-the-art building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in May 2019.

All successful candidates will be provided with a comprehensive OSCE training, NHS induction programme and a mentor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent degree from an accredited university or nursing school leading to registration with your local nursing council
  • 1 year minimum post-graduate working experience (academic internships not considered)
  • Proof of English language proficiency in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s requirements.
  • NMC test of competence in Adult Nurse (RNA) – Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Currently working or if not currently working, due to studying English, no more than 9 months gap since last position where they have stopped work to focus on English studies.
  • Proof of successfully passing the NMC Part 1 Computer Based Test (CBT) within 4-6 weeks of interview/offer (if not in receipt already) or booked in the coming weeks,

  • OSCE exam fee (£794) – Sponsored in Advance
  • Certificate of Sponsorship and Immigration Skills Charge (not IHS) (£3,199) – Paid in Advance
  • Skilled Worker Visa fee for the candidate only – Sponsored in Advance
  • 12 months prearranged accommodation available for a fee of free accommodation
  • Inbound flight to the UK of max. value of £800 (costs over and above this amount to be met by the candidate)
